by Franceco Palmisano

ie7 ie4linux

On Linux you can use, in native way, browser like Firefox, Opera, Mozilla, Epiphany, Konqueror, etc.....but not Internet Explorer.
If you are web site developer probably you need IE6 or IE7 to control the correct visualization of your work.
How can we do?

This is the answer:

Check with your packages manager to have installed:

wine
ibxxf86dga1
libxxf86vm1
cabextract

Now download the file ies4linux here.

uncompress it with command:

tar xvfz ies4linux-latest.tar.gz

enter in its directory:

cd ies4linux-*

and give command:

./ies4linux

Follow the instructions.

screen-ie7

ie7-screen2

Enjoy your IE6 or IE7!!
